MEATBALL SUBS


Came up with this one after deciding it was too cold to make subs with cold cuts! Seriously 5 minutes from start to finish & even the kids LOVED it!

4 fresh SUB rolls from bakery section
1 bag pre-cooked, heat and serve frozen MEATBALLS (italian style if they have it)
1 jar pasta SAUCE of your choice (I grabbed the cheapest "traditional" I could find)
1 green bell PEPPER, sliced thin (that is if you like peppers!)
4-6 slices provolone CHEESE, torn in half

Heat meatballs according to package directions in microwave. Pour sauce into a med. saucepan and heat through. Add in meatballs. Cut rolls into "lids & bottoms" by slicing with a serrated knife from each side into a "V" in the bottom (so it isn't flat and will hold sauce better). Spoon 6-8 meatballs and sauce onto bottom of roll. Top with bell peppers (if using) and sliced cheese. Place into toaster oven or under a broiler for a few minutes until cheese is melted. Take out and top with "lid". Cut in half if desired and serve.
