Gold n Soft THE BEST Chocolate Chip Cookies!

These always turn out SOFT! I have tried a ton of chocolate chip recipes, but this one has been THE ONE for a few years now. Any margarine will work, too.


1 1/3 cup Gold n Soft® Margarine
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 Cups Flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla * update: try 1 tsp vanilla & 1 tsp almond extract ... adds a great flavor!*
12 ounces chocolate chips ** MY SECRET: USE 1/2 MILK CHOCOLATE & 1/2 SEMI SWEET!!!**
1 cup chopped nuts

Optional extras:
1 Tbsp. Cinnamon, or 1 cup coconut, or 1 cup toffee bits (replaces 1 cup of chocolate chips)

Procedures:

  • Preheat oven to 375† F.
  • In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In large mixing bowl, cream together Gold n Soft® Margarine, sugars, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips, nuts and one of the optional extra ingredients.
  • Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes.
