Easy Ground Beef Stroganoff

I halved this since it was just me and the kids and still had two plates of leftovers (the original makes about 8 servings). The kids liked this enough to eat the entire serving I gave them, and even the Grands biscuit and corn on the side!

2 pounds ground beef
2 onions (chopped)
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 (4.5 oz) can mushrooms
(drained) *I used about 1/3 cup fresh, pre-sliced then chopped them up really fine so no one would notice!
2 tsps. salt
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
2 Tblsp. basil
2 cups hot water
6 cubes beef bouillon
4 Tblsp. tomato paste
1 1/2 cups water
4 Tblsp. all-purpose flour
wide egg noodles ( 1 lg package/cooked& drained)
butter
sour cream

Heat a large skillet over med/high heat. Add ground beef, onions, garlic, & mushrooms. Sauté until onion is golden brown. Season with salt & pepper. Stir in hot water, bouillon cubes, tomato paste, basil, and cream of mushroom soup. Stir together 1 1/2 cups sold water and flour; stir into pan. Reduce heat to low, cover, & simmer 1 hour. Serve over hot, buttered egg noodles and top with sour cream.
